Thats the
"I can't do s***T but I look good" complex. it's closely associated with the" I am so bad that I can't compet because i'll hurt someone" complex.
Both seem to be very visable more and more these days.

I never really cared for flashy gi's. I really like the traditional. I remember reading an article along time ago in some martial arts magazine that covered this same thing. They brought up the point that the flashy uniforms was a means of intimidation. Kind of like the way samurai used to wear those scary lookin' uniforms. I don't recall all the details but that's the basic comparison the author made. I'll have to dig through my old magazines and reread that article from the late '80's.

some black and white mixed but nothing crazy. perhaps more people are sticking with tradition.

I like to have Gi Pants and a T-shirt it is
close to what you would wear on the street.
I also like the basic solid color pants and tops.

The multi-color thing will not be found in my
day to day dress so I guess I am biased ;)

I once saw a uniform that not only had all the
clubs logos, etc, ..., but it also had a patch
for ever weapon this person had learned.
THe instructor had brought some of students into
a seminar and he had '9' nine stripes on his
belt. ;~)

The FLash is for other people, not me.

PS - excuse my poor spelling and dyslexia ;~)
