For those of you interested in History, I just started watching a series of DVD's called "The Conquerors" produced by the History Channel. It includes documentaries on William The Conqueror, Andrew Jackson, Cortes, El Cid, King David, Caesar, and several more. Has anyone here made a study of this kind of thing? So far its been fairly interesting, if you like this sort of thing. :)

Aye, history has always been fascinating to me; even before I used to 'do it' for a living I was often to be found digging into the past.

Obviously I am strongest on English history and it's personalities but as we sailed far and wide in the spreading of our Empire our history ties in with that of a lot of other nations and continents.

Japanese history is another interest of mine, one that started whilst I was studying for my economics degree - it's something of a riddle at times as the Japanese were/are even worse than most for re-writing' the history books to suit whoever was in power at the time.
