I'm the skinny fool in the first fight. Only me, the blonde guy and the curly haired burly fellow have any FMA background. Tell me what you see!

With light sparring it is hard to tell, because most people are satisfied with sniping from long range, but quite frankly I'd like to see more zoning footwork and more combinations. The way the guy in white with the pony tail was crabbing forward it looking like zoning to his outside with a strong leg attack would have worked quite well as an entry. Also, the way he was leaving his forearm forward, opens him up for limb/hand attacks as well.

Easy to say from behind the computer though. :D

:)

They only caught about half the match on that video. After he consistently throws those midsection horizontal shots, i start jabbing his legs to get him to back up and open his head. I agree about the zoning on the number two shots. You only really see me dive in drive by once during the clip. I was moving mostly at 45 degree angles(and pretty much every time I didn't he hit me).

Like anything on video it is not the same as being there. Thing's though that you might be able to work on are like what Lamont said and also controlling the space in between a little better. Everyone in the video entered into the space where they could hit and be hit and remained there without doing anything for some a very dangerous amount of time. If you enter that space you need to either attack or exit it if you are not going to attack. Likewise keep yourself out of the space so that you can defend properly if the opponent comes into it. Another thing would be to use the butt of the stick when inside to neutralize your opponent. It is all about distance and being the one that controls it and the angles. Just a couple of thoughts.
