The 6th annual Orlando Batto Jutsu Tai Kai is now official!

The date has been set as August 27th, and information about instructors, seminars, competition events, and rules is up on the web at www.toyama-ryu.com.

The Orlando Tai Kai is always a terrific time with good people and some top-notch instructors from both here and Japan. Yusho (overall point winner) this year will receive an L6 katana blade donated by Howard Clark www.mvforge.com , who has always been a strong supporter of the Orlando Tai Kai.

Check the web site often for updates. Put the date in your calendar. Come as a competitor or as a spectator, but make sure you don't miss it this year; it's going to be great!

P.S. Please note that certain seminars are restricted to US Federation Batto Dojo head instructors, members and / or Toyama Dojo Head instructors under Bob Elder Sensei.

PLEASE DO NOT sign up for a seminar that you are not allowed to take

P.P.S. Please be sure and read the competition rules.

SEMINAR INSTRUCTOR CHANGE NOTICE

I regret to say that Carl McCLafferty Sensei will not be able to attend the Orlando Tai Kai this year . McCLafferty Sensei has attended and judged every year since the events infancy in 2000. He will be missed.

McCLafferty Sensei has designated Dan Kuepp Sensei to attend and teach the two Sekiguichi ryu Seminars in his place. The information on the website has been updated to reflect this change. Kuepp Sensei comes highly recommended and has studied under McCLafferty sensei since the early 1990's. He has competed in Japan and never failed to place well. He currently has a dojo in Tucson Arizona.
