Well I did it. Got promoted to brown belt last night. I was happy with the test overall. I did get a little peeved that I missed a board break.
But ended up feeling better about it. Master was standing next to me and said "It must bee the time of year for bad wood, You should have gone right through that. Don't feel to bad it happens. I know what you can do."

Fantastic!! Another example of where the real test is what you do on the mat every night. :)

    Congratulations.

Don't feel bad about missing the break. It happens. There are a ton of variables. During my 1st Dan test, I did a 4-station break (knee strike, standing side kick, rear elbow and forehead) and needed two strikes on both the elbow and forehead. I had holders who flinched.

What matters isn't the test. It's what you're doing every day, in and out of class.

Thanks it was a groin top of foot shot. 2 boards, holders flinched twice and back boardhad some funky knots in it. Other3 Judges told me about it today. Next time go mideval on the sucker :)123
