Dear Folks:
At first blush this may seem like an oxymoron -- "basic weapons work". Just about everyone holds off with weapons work in the Hapkido until usually later on. "Just about everyone"------ but NOT everyone. So it is that I thought I would take another check to see what --- if any--- weapons material ought to be included in a Minimal Standard. I am thinking of people who might attend a Hapkido seminar and want to participate in a Cane, Short Stick or even a Sword presentation. Thoughts Anyone?
BTW: I am hard at work on the website and have been spending some time polishing the "Kum Bup" section by adding my translation of BON KUK KUM BUP. It will take a bit but its about halfway there. SA BANG JUK SAL KUM BUP will be the 1st Dan, PUNG EYI will be 1st Brown and the Hwa Rang O-Gum set of five bup will be 6th guep through 2nd guep inclusive. FWIW.
