Just read this, laughed so hard I sprayed coffee all over my screen, thought of you:

HANGING OUT WASHING IN AUSTRALIA IN SUMMER

Sydney: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - bone dry.

Hobart: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - hasn't dried at all, has probably been rained on.

Melbourne: Hang out washing, get sunburnt in raging sunlight whilst doing so, go to collect in half hour - wet again, as it's now raining.

Brisbane: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - still has that damp kinda feeling because even the clothes are sweating; why so humid?

Canberra: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - a giant spider is tangled in your clothesline and you have to beat him away with a broom. (@gpseymour felt particularly strongly about that one).

Darwin: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - washing has blown away, time for a new wardrobe.

Perth: Hang out washing, go to collect in half hour - washing gone, claimed by great white shark.

If the forecasts are to be believed, we have a real chance of 8-17 inches of snow over the next 36 hours.

Pulled a (sort of) all nighter with some friends to play the new super smash brothers game. Just got home now, and as I walked through the door, my body decided it's ready to pass out as my stomach decided it's starving.

A neighbor said one forecast has been changed to a potential of up to 24 inches. That might be a record snowfall here if it happens.

Ahhh yes we plan to do that soon for Smash Bros, looks epic this one, so different!

We did a couple of Mario Party marathons recently [emoji14]

I haven't done anything like that in a long time. I think maybe the last time was back when the Hobbit and I were playing Diablo II - I don't think we ever did that with Diablo III. Now we reserve the all-nighters for watching Lord of the Rings.

And still coming down. We're scheduled for another 5+ inches today.
The snowman cometh.

This is within walking distance of us. I'd photographed this pond I don't know how many times - and I just can't get enough of it.

This waterfall is not that far from us but up a WICKED hill. So, I hope you all appreciate we climbed up there in knee-high snow to take a picture.

Snow is a four letter word where I am!
We quite like it. We get just about the right amount: 1 or 2 decent snowfalls a year (6-12 inches) is normal. Maybe a couple of others under 3 inches. Just enough to enjoy it, without it causing much trouble.

3 inches of snow here and the whole country is brought to a standstill...

12 inches would be a veritable snowmageddon.
