today was a very good day :) had a really good practice session and got through 8 3 minute rounds before i started getting tired :) very happy :) a fight is normally 3 or 5 rounds so am hoping that i can get back up to training for 10 rounds pretty soon :)

had more supplements and creatines --- feel a lot better now :)

took my doggy to the butchers with me to get him some more beef burgers ;) he loves them and they're cheap cos they're for him and not me :) still taste good to me though ;)

it also means that i've got to use the fiery dragon (cooker) for what it's meant for ;)

was supposed to get a new fiery dragon today but the delivery guys dropped it on the doorstep -- not good really :(

one good point though was that i've got some rear plastics from a Ginetta Junior in my old fiery dragon so i didn't have to tuk about taking parts out of it and putting them in the new one :)

got a vauxhall corsa motor and gearbox coming in later for a total strip and rebuild later so i spent about half an hour this morning scrubbing the inside of my dishwasher ready for them :):):)

woke up this morning to a temperature in the low 50's. Felt cold after the warm weather we have been having. Now in abot 3 months that 50 something would most likely feel warm. Strange how our minds work

Also sparred for the first time last night since my stroke. Did alright but I'm a lot slower than before most likely from lack of practice. My student was much to respectful and never hit me either that or he was afraid my control would not be there and I would punch him in the face to hard

First let me say that Xingyiquan is awesome...ok now for something completely different

Glad to hear your back doing some sparing. It could also be your students are respectful because they do not want to suffer the consequences

Nah, seeing jack happy with his snacks makes up for it besides going down to lakehouse with friends (hopefully David will come but with wedding planning might not)

got to start injecting my doggy with anit inflamatories and pain killers cos he's been limping in both right front and right back legs for the last few weeks :( took him to the vets again today cos i wasn't happy with it and they said that he's got displasia in both right shoulder and right hip feel so scared for him cos i don't know how long he's gunna be around now :(

it's just getting him down so much -- i take him swimming twice a day which he loves but on the walk there and the walk back you can see that he really wants to walk and is trying his absolute hardest but it's painful for me to watch :( --- he doesn't cry about it or anything he just doesn't sit down anymore at the stop lights and lies down instead but then it's a struggle for him to get up :( so i gotta help him.

i kept this quiet cos i didn't know for sure how bad it was and the news aint good :( and he's only 4and half years old............

give him some joint supplements. Around here it's marketed as 'Cosequin', Controiton compounds, also a bit of anti inflamatory meds.*

*Off course clear that with your vet, since I am not one, nor do I play one on TV....

That sounds odd at 4 1/2, he is still young and shouldn't be in pain so young, perhaps it's something he did it may heal over time but granfire has a point about joint supplements, I'd see an animal specialist like a veterinarian

gunna start giving him glucosamine - apparently what that stuff does for me will do the same to him hopefully.

displasia is where the joint isn't able to sit in the socket properly so any movement of it takes it out of the socket :( eventually wearing the socket out.

maybe it's summat that's happened don't know for sure but he's been attacked by so many other dogs particularly when i first got him that i don't know if they did any damage to him at that time. i've had to keep him isolated cos whenever anything comes near to him it just attacks him never understood why cos he's a really friendly furball --- hope you're right about the time thing but as they say only time will tell if it does get "better".

my cat -- pud -- has also taken to sleeping within his paws maybe she knows something i don't LoL :) i took jake when i went to pick my cat and she just walked straight upto him and snuggled into his fur and that was that :) he doesn't mind it now but it took some getting used to --- jake's scared of cats LoL :) jake's 4ft long when lying down and 3ft wide and is not exactly happy when pud is walking round stretching her legs -- he gets totally suspicious of her and you can see him watching everything that she doesn stuff it makes for great entertainment specially when she plays with his toys :)

today was a rough day but am back in the gym with scotty tomorrow so am hoping that things will be better :)

the anti inflamatories are part of the injections that i have to give along with the painkillers ---- the vet gave me the needles and bottles of stuff and a bunch of directions on how to do it so i didn't have to keep going back. jake doesn't mind cos the vet staff give him biscuits - he just hates going into the consultation room :)

well, some breeds tend to have displacia issues, especially larger ones. I guess injury could cause it (I have not heard of shoulder problem, but hey, like I said, I am no vet)
The glusosamin is going to help with the preservation of the carteledge that gets more wear when the joint does not work proper.

I am guessing it's an acute situation now, hence the syringes. I have given my (late) doggy ibuprofen in the past (Motrin) when her hind end started to give out (but again, ask the vet!)

(put a 'belt' around his rear, with a handle, so you can help him get up better!)
