Very cool! What is the last "technical" rank (rank with required physical testing) in your system?

Honestly - I can only speak of what I've seen and
my Master Instructor & Chief Master Instructor just
tested for 7th Dan and 6th Dan in May 2017. They
both had required physical testing.

Above that, I'm not certain but my Instructor did say
that our (Great) Grand Master Instructor Won gave a
demonstration after the test showing self defense
maneuvers. My Instructor told me GGM Won is 80 years
old and was throwing Black Belts like rag dolls.

Ok, gear heads.
I have a questions.

A very kind friend loaned me his spare car.
And I am very grateful for it.

But I tend to have trouble finding the gears in this aged gear box.
and I would really hate to burn this little car up because I am mixing the gasoline wrong.

It's a cute little Honda Del Sol.
Stick.
Lots of miles.

and the gear shift wobbles freely about,. whether in gear or not.
first is tricky. But I am getting 'good' driving off - slowly - in 2nd....
5th a gamble.
and reverse a miracle.

question:
what part is worn out?

Oh, and it has a slight case of the sputters, but it seems to be easing up with prolonged driving on the highway. But it makes the acceleration a tad tricky, as flooring it produces more of a sputter. You have to hit the sweet spot.

breaking and 4th in weapons forms ..kind of
cool too - one of the kids who I had encouraged
while judging his breaking division was front
row center to see me break - first try - with a
360 spinning hook.. :) #eyes like saucers!

Results of my blood tests were posted. All the pain and inflammation is probably NOT the result of anything autoimmune. PT starts tomorrow on the two worst areas (right shoulder, left ankle).

I've always been a fan of his music, my wife and I sang along with a lot of his songs. Sigh, another one gone.

Crappy end of a day.

On the way home on the interstate was hit from behind and basically "pit maneuvered" into an 18 wheeler which then knocked me into the median where I was able to get my truck stopped.

Heckuva ride....kinda like a pin ball.

Totaled by work truck....missed my son's basketball game.

Glad you came out of it okay. Keep an eye out for odd pains the next week or so. There's a strong suspicion the muscle I tore in my forearm last year was injured first in my wreck.
