Can anyone recommend a good kuntao, pencak silat, or cimande instructor in the DC area?

    Thanks.

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend Kuntao Silat at all.
Kuntao Silat comes from Willem deThouars and that's a man with alot of problems, also the system has a dubious past.

You could see if Chris Derbaum has an affiliate in that area.

The originality of Silat is the royal inheritance of the Kings and Heirs of the Indonesian Kingdom. When Indonesia being colonized in 17th century, Pencak and Silat are banned, and many native people create a new Style of Pencak and Silat in secret till 1945. And "Pencak silat" was chosen in 1948 as a unifying term for the Indonesian fighting styles

Why does this bother you? They are all Silat threads.
