That coach may have installed something custom, too. Maybe a testing over just the first 3 throws required, the first choke, 1st arm bar, 1st hold-down.... then another test a coupl emonths later to pick up the rest of the yellow belt stuff... if that school even uses the yellow belt, or whatever belt you want to use. Ours didn't. White, Green, Brown 3 levels, then shodan. Lot of work and waiting in between those few ranks.
