SESSION I: INTRODUCTION TO JUDO 1:00 to 2:30 PM
Learn the fundamentals of this exciting martial art. Topics to be covered: principles of Judo; how to warm up properly; basics of the throw including off balancing and entering; how to break your fall when being thrown; and ground grappling basics. Martial arts uniform preferred but not required. Minimum age is 10.

SESSION II: MASTERY OF JUDO 2:45 to 4:15 PM
Sensei will teach methods for improving your throws and ground game so that you are more effective and win more matches. He will review the fundamentals and then teach applications that will bring your Judo to the next level. Judo uniform required. Minimum age is 10.

FEE: $25.00 / person (pre-register by March 13th) or $30.00 at the door.
The fee to attend both seminars is $40.00.

Sensei Nagayasu Ogasawara holds an 8th Dan in Judo. He authored the definitive text on Judo, THE TEXTBOOK OF JUDO. [FONT=&quot] [/FONT]From 1984 through 1989, he was an associate professor at the United States branch of Kokushikan University. For 7 years (1988-1995), he was the head coach for the West Point Military Academy Judo team. Mr. Ogasawara received the Coach of the Year Award from several organizations: U.S. Olympic Committee and the Metropolitan Judo Association, both in 1996, U.S. National Collegiate Judo Association in 1993, and the Eastern Collegiate Judo Association in 1991. Two of his students, including his daughter Liliko, made the 1996 US Olympic Judo Team.
