Hi all. I am compiling together a list of places to get knife/blade training. I am looking for website links.

Any Japanese arts out there that work specifically with the knife, or that dedicate a significant portion to the knife?

Bujinkan comes to mind as a possible one, but I need links to legitimate websites and contact info...

Help is appreciated...

Thank you,

Paul Janulis

Are you interested in any Japanese knife forms? I may be able do an MPEG of our Tanto Hyung which is of Japanese origin.

One thing to keep in mind with tanto jutsu is that it more closely mirrors unarmed jujutsu than even kenjutsu. In fact most of the tanto jutsu I've learned--besides basic drawing, cutting, and re-sheathing--was done in conjunction with normal locks and throws.

FWIW, the only easily available tanto material I've some across is from the Yanagi Ryu. You can purchase a video demoing some of their knife forms from www.bugei.com .
