That's a turkey vulture. The turkey vultures have grey feathers that spread all the way across their wingspan, where the black vultures only have grey feathers on their wing tips. Both turkey vultures and black vultures have wings that make a slight V shape when they glide through the air, where other carnivorous birds such as eagles and raptors do not. V for vulture :)

I captured a few on the ground but never in flight like that.
