I know we have some past, and probably current, military folks on the board. Thank you for your service!

You're welcome. For me, unlike Veterans Day, a holiday whose purpose is to acknowledge and thank veterans of all branches for their service and sacrifices to our nation, Memorial Day is a day to acknowledge and give thanks to those who gave all in the defense of our nation and their families. It is a time to go to the cemeteries and lay flowers, flags, and a spot of whisky perhaps on the grave sites of the fallen. For me it is a very heart filled holy day, not happy nor sad. A day to remember friends, relatives, and the strangers who sold their lives so that I and mine could live and breathe this day. It is a day of gratitude and humility.

Regards
Brian King
