Funny when your previous training kicks in involuntarily.....

In last night's Jiu Jitsu class we were training to catch a round kick and then drop the kicker with O Uchi Gari. At least five or six times, instead of catching his kick I automatically kicked him right back.......ye olde TKD creeping in....we got some good giggles out of it....:)

yes, training has only worked when it becomes an in voluntary response,

I had much the same problem last night, with weapon disarm, I could do it perfectly time after time at slow( considered ) pace. But as soon aw we did it full speed I did some other deep routed movement instead.

the instructor kept saying, "your supposed to take the arm out, not jump up and knee them in the head" but I just,couldn't not do it
