As mentioned here, they are very very expensive but you can make cheap imitations!

Doesn't the shock zap you even if you have the flat end of the knive against your skin? I think it's PTK that practices a reverse grip with the dull edge of the blade up against the arm.

In fact, they use the sharp edge toward the arm with a short blade; see e.g. here. I find more and more to like about this idea!

I haven't tried a shockknife yet but would like to do so.
