Fall didn't fade away gently as it usually does. This year, Fall was murdered. :(

Dang, I didn't realize Fall was murdered. I just thought Fall was missing. :(

We don't have snow here in Kansas City, but the weather is definitly odd. One day it is 70, the next 30, then it is 70 again.

We had a big Nor'Easter this weekend that dumped a tremendous amount of heavy snow. Power outages in New Jersey, New York, and all 6 New England states. This is the most destructive snow storm I have seen since I moved out here in 1987. Many are still without power.

I spent the weekend further north, and got home to find nearly every tree, shrub, or bush in my complex had some kind of damage. And all around me is more of the same.....for miles!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nor'easter
A nor'easter (also northeaster; see below) is a type of macro-scale storm along the East Coast of the United States and Atlantic Canada, so named because the storm travels to the northeast from the south and the winds come from the northeast, especially in the coastal areas of the Northeastern United States and Atlantic Canada. The storm has characteristics very similar to a hurricane.

I love snow....its just the power outages and tree destruction that I don't care for. :)

Great pictures

I was surprised at how little snow we got in the Adirondacks. We had both storms and all we ended up with on the ground, after both, was about 3 inches and that has already melted

Now speaking of murder

Carol walks by -- Maglites Cry
with hardly a try -- Maglites die
Now something new -- Surefires will do
A day they will rue -- Surefires die too
:D

XUE WAS HERE!!

Bless you Xue and may fortune smile upon you. As unhappy as I was to see the beautiful trees get ravaged by the storm, now the damaged trees will bring a secret smile to my face when I see them :) :asian: Just go a little easy next time, eh? :D

LOL, those trees look like BradfortPears. They need to die. (and I actually really love trees, just not crap trees like that)

Ehhh....the twisted trunk and the one split are maples...sugar maples by the looks of the leaves. (Mmmm...maple syrup...) The one in three bent sections is a white birch, official tree of NH.

Sheesh. At least wait for the body to get cold...I mean, the wood to dry out.

What are you, a Republican? If you can't mourn my trees then at least mourn my property values :p
