Is it just a cultural thing, my being British, that makes my eyebrows climb into my hairline when I see articles like this?

Or is this a case of the ubiquity of internet communications making something off-the-wall seem more representative than it is?

Please tell me it is the latter.

Oh my goodness, this is straight out of centuries past.

Have insurance take care of the fmaily should the male bread winner become incapacitated or infirm? Holy cow...this is so far from reality, I am surprised a dust cloud like this is able to walk upright and communicate.

I am sure more women would not mind staying home and being mom if they would not get severely penalized for this in terms of financial security later on in life. How can anybody even consider giving girls this antiquated advice in this day and age (not to mention I met enough older women, chained to useless husbands because without them they were tuck in unsolvable poverty!)
