Couple of interesting rifle videos

This one... the shooter and the cameraman are awfully lucky that the explosion wasn't as bad as it could've been. What is remarkable is that the shooter just dropped the gun, said a few Omigods and then moved over to the other hunter to ensure they got their elk (you can hear them calling in the distance). I mean sure you could've gotten your face blown off by your own gun but hey... get that ELK.
This video is a reminder to ensure 110% that your barrel is clean and free of any and all debris no matter how small.

The second video shows a 30-06 firing at balloons 400 yards away. What is remarkable about this is that you can see the bullet(s) traveling to their target. Really neat.

These are vapor trails, easy to see in a spotter scope or camera. What happens is the bullet is moving so fast it "super heats" the water particles in the air. Spotters sometimes take the spotter scope a little out of focus to see them better.
