Here is a link to and introduction to the chakras. Chakras are seven centers of energy located in the midline of the body. Anyone here ever take the Chakra test? It consists of 56 questions. Try it and see how open your Chakras are.

Well apparently I have four chakras open. The other three aren't too bad (the scale is -100% to 100%), about middling.

Root: open(56%)
Sacral: under-active(-6%)
Navel: open(50%)
Heart: under-active(-13%)
Throat: open(25%)
Third Eye: open(38%)
Crown: under-active(0%)

This seems to indicate that I am grounded, stable and secure. I have sufficient self-esteem, am good at self-expession, and have good intuition. That's not too bad.

It could be worse I suppose.

Since I think Chakras are complete nonsense, I suppose I should have got a -100% in everything. However, it looks like even skeptics get to have open chakras. ;)

Oh wow I am almost god like with my cosmic chakra powers and my starbucks latte go me!!

This test is not very good because it all comes down to how social you are how much self-esteem and how hippy conscious you are.
According to Sivananda Kundalini yoga -Mandras 1935
If you open say the Muladhara-chakra(between root of gentials and anus) you will have the power to levitate and control of breath. If you open say Manipura-chakra(navel region) You will not burn to death among other things.

Pretty accurate considering the circumstances of my life right now. The only one I'm surprised at is the crown chakra because I consider myself a spiritual person.

Haha -- Its funny to me -- I never give any mind to chakras, and I do not wish for any paranormal experiences, these so called 'Siddhi' events. Every book that I have ever read says to not pay them any mind -- they can lead you into a bad practice, confuse you.

So I have no real interest in this energy traveling thought the chakras, and so on. HOWEVER -- there is only ONE exercise that I do for that. It is the exercise where when I lay down at night to sleep, I put the fingertips onto the torso JUST ABOVE the solar plexus -- right where the heart chakra is supposed to be.

I then imagine energy going into that area. And, my test has that as the only one that is open!

I wish that there were some machine that could measure this quantitatively. Some device that could detect all of this energy and make a measurement. That would be good.

Yeah, it would be...

Energy is a discrete physical phenomena. We have invented a variety of tools to quantitate energy in a myriad of forms. Yet we have never invented a device to measure the energy from chakras, reiki, etc.

What does that tell you? I'll give you three guesses...

Um ... that we don't have the science to build one yet? :D :D :D

I hate the thought of this. I would prefer that this would be true.
