Bridge passes over incoming bridge 桥来桥上过

    Bridge passes over incoming bridge (橋來橋上過 qiáo lái qiáo shàng guò), in Cantonese should sounds like “kiu lao kiu shon gou”. I am not sure this saying is unique to Wing Chun, so any comment is welcome.

    The general CMA strategy is you should try to be

    1. on top - you will have body weight advantage,
    2. inside - you can separate your opponent's arms away from his body.

    A punch that can press down your opponent's blocking arm while moving toward his face can combine defense and offense into one.
