It seems that woman have an easier time achieving the flexibility to kick much higher than myself and other men. What is it about the female biology that makes this easier for them?

If women had as strong of legs, and lack of flexibility as you do, when first starting they would have the same trouble you are having.

Women are better at everything than men. Men are stronger, which doesn't amount to much.

Flexibility, and balance are the biggest factors. if you want to improve your kicks start stretching after class more and work on your balance. As far as females being naturally better it's more about body type than gender.

I hate to be "that guy" but you have to define better.

In terms of power, its hard to say, but if we're talking the same size and weight I'd have to go with the male. However, from experience of having a sister 2 years younger than me, as well as other young girls I trained with who were on the Jr Olympic track, they generally had a much greater flexibility in their hips and legs, making several kicks come more naturally to them.

Now in BJJ there are some moves that you'll see women do that I've never see any men do.

Women have a wider range of motion in the hips and looser connective tissue. This means that women are more flexible but also more likely to get sports injuries.

I don't know if women are any more naturally flexible than men but they don't make necessarily make better kickers than men. I've trained in Muay Thai for quite a while and have trained with women as well as men. It takes time for anyone to learn to develop power behind their kicks and other strikes. It's all about biomechanics and learning to use your body's weight.

In my experience, women are a bit more competitive about their stretching than men.

Here's a bit on the physical differences:
Training Differences: Men and Women | 8fit

Keep stretching, keep training, and keep pursuing excellence for yourself. To kick high is not necessarily to kick well.
