| Muay Thai Muay Thai is commonly referred to as the "science of eight limbs," and is Thailand's national sport. Muay Thai is derived from the hand-to-hand aspect of the ancient Siamese art known as, "Krabi Krabong;" and was once performed for the entertainment of the King of Siam. Muay Thai is known for its distinct rituals, incredible conditioning, devastating round (Thai) kicks and the merciless use of knees and elbows. |

men vs women
It seems like more women are competing as well. Do you see this where you teach/train? |

why do you suppose that is? Do you advertise?
Do you only promote it for fighting events and not for fitness? What about judo? Any women doing Judo? We have a college close to me that has a fairly well recognized Judo group, and barely any women would take judo. |

At my gym, the ratio is approximately 60% men, and 40% women. I believe the reason on this lies behind the way of advertisement. It has to be marketed in way way that is appealing to all types of people.
