Muay Thai Muay Thai is commonly referred to as the "science of eight limbs," and is Thailand's national sport. Muay Thai is derived from the hand-to-hand aspect of the ancient Siamese art known as, "Krabi Krabong;" and was once performed for the entertainment of the King of Siam. Muay Thai is known for its distinct rituals, incredible conditioning, devastating round (Thai) kicks and the merciless use of knees and elbows.

training camps in bangkok?

Hey,

I'll be in bangkok for a week in January 2003 (I know thats too short to train properly but I'm tight with time). I was wondering anyone know of any Muay Thai training camps within bangkok city, I'll be staying near Sukhumvit Road between the Swiss & japanese embassy. Any info on camps or shared experiences will be greatly appreciated.

I've seen some training camp websites and they offer intensive courses for 10 days or so, I even saw 1 offering a 5 day course. My second question is what are your impressions of these, any difference with just training normally for the same duration and just paying per day for the same period? Is the instruction more crisp?

Thank You Kindly

-LATER-

I think the camps are worth it as it is professional training.
