Just wanted to say hello. My name is Richard Gilland. I was promoted to black belt by Stan Papas in December of 1999. We where then under Universal Kempo Karate Schools ASS. I am no longer a member of Universal Kempo and neither is Chief Intructor Papas. I am now studing Shotokan Karate and a brown belt. Only been studing a year in this art but Kempo karate is the Art I love the most. I do have a question does anybody no the cause of Death of Johnathan Vance is was a chief Instructor in Universal Kempo Karate Schools and started his own system called Advanced Kempo Karate System. I was saddened to hear he had passed away he was only 48 yrs old I think. Anyway hope someone replys to my thread I have little contact with my instructor and am a lonley Kempo person in Shotokan school.
