That is what I thought that the purpose of things like “Model Mugging” was all about. Train an ordinary non-violent person in violent responses to assault until those responses were reflex. I was under the impression that “Model Mugging” was all about doing. That there is some talk is to be expected (explanations of what goes where, etc.). But that the talk makes up the majority of training is not right (or effective, in my opinion). The man in my previous post did not take the time to logically process the knife slash to his abdomen. Otherwise he’d have bled out on a dark country road far from help and home. I posted his tale to show what could happen when training is done correctly (with a little luck).
