FOUNDATIONS Seminar to Benefit GM BOBBY TABOADA (Raleigh, NC 9/10)
On September 10th, 2011 Triangle Kung Fu Arnis Academy will be holding one of its "Foundations" Seminars, which is an ongoing series of multi-disciplinary events.

Due to the recent medical concerns and treatment of our good friend, Grand Master Bobby Taboada, we are dedicating all of the proceeds from this event towards his medical bills. He recently underwent a surgery that was successful, but had some complications that are requiring an extended stay in the ICU, and will take some time to fully recover.

Instructors for this event will include:

Master Chuck Gauss, Modern Arnis
Guro David Ng, Modern Arnis
Sifu Brian Lee, Sil Lum Kung Fu
Rich Monforti, Machado Brothers BJJ

All skill levels are welcome. Please join us on 9/10/2011 from 12pm - 6pm.

Interesting circumstance


I’ve been added to this weekend’s benefit seminar for GM Bobby Toboada. This is a great honor for me! So today I decide to check my tickets. I’m flying down on AirTran 93. I’m returning on September 11th!

The seminar went well. There were a little over 20 people in attendance. I was great to teach seminar that all of the participants had trained in some for of FMA! There were two special treats at this event. The hosts treated everyone to a Filipino buffet at the end of the seminar. The best thing for me was GM Toboada calling during the seminar to say hello!

There will also be an eBay auction of hand carved Bahi and Kamagong sticks to help to raise funds. What makes these sticks extra special is that they were hand carved by GM Bobby himself! I'm currently hanging out in Atlanta waiting for my connecting flight home.
