I know that many moons ago, his main teacher was Kam Yuen out of L.A., who taught Tai Mantis. Kam also acted as Carradine's double in some fight scenes. In the last couple of decades, I've not heard much about him, though.

Kam Yuen was a student of Zhao Shigong. Tai Mantis is a variation on Taiji Tanglang.
Zhao Shigong was possibly one of the finest combatants of the 20th Century. I know some of my Shixiongdi have met him and have said his Gongfu is very, very good.
Tho seeing Carradine I am not so certain about his proficiency.

I know that my Shifu is one of Grandmaster Zhao Zhuxi's top students and is one of the 12 guardians of Vietnam. I have seen him work, so if Kam Yuen Shifu is anything like that at all he is a force to be reckoned with!
