It is with great sadness that I learn of the death of Sensei Enoeda who passed away a week ago.
I wish to express my sincerest condolences to Sensei Enoeda's family, friends and students, all of whom will miss him. Karate has lost a great exponent of the art, and a great ambassador.

The passing of Enoeda sensei on Sunday 30th of March due to cancer, has closed the book on a chapter of British and European karate Shotokan in particular, and karate in general.

He was, as his nickname [Tora] suggests, a tiger!!!!

Known for his uncompromising teaching methods and ability to push his students to well past their limits, he was an inspiration to many around the world.

I met him only once many years ago, but remained impressed to today. I expect he'll be starting a class somewhere in heaven as we speak.
