MUNCIE — A Muncie man has been formally charged with attempted murder in the Oct. 21 stabbing of his girlfriend in their North Monroe Street apartment.
Randy Alan Cummings, 43, is charged with a Class A felony carrying a standard 30-year prison term.
He is also charged with battery with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony with a standard four-year sentence, and domestic battery, a misdemeanor.
Police said the victim, stabbed with a large kitchen knife, suffered wounds to her chest, arms and face.
An initial hearing is set for Nov. 17 in Delaware Circuit Court 5.
