Hello all,


My demo team and I will be making a brief appearance on Live TV Saturday October 25, 2008 at 9am EST. NBC Channel 30. If you are outside of Connecticut you can catch it on their website nbc30.com

Thanks! My team is a bit nervous. This goes out to over one million homes! Yikes! :) 9am is a small demo and then 3:30pm is a larger one but that one may not be televised.

Not that I have any eperience, but I think it might be best to not think of it as being aired to so many people. Just think of it as a regular demo or test.

Congrats and good luck!

We had something of the same out here a month or so ago, two sessions on the local news show. It's a great thing, lots of fun for those that are able to participate, but also for others to see family, friends and acquaintances on the tube.

Is it archived on the site or do you have the direct link?
Of course, as I am writing this, Stickarts is probably finishing up there, so does anyone else have it?
I wish I would have checked MT last night so I could have gotten time to find this in advance.

My guess is that it won't be posted immediately, maybe by midday or so. They don't seem to have any live feeds.

I found the live feed and am watching it now, but it is 9:45, so I may have missed it.

Thanks. I tried that but its one of those thing for me that the harder I try not to, the more I think of it! :)

They ended up putting us on at 9:20am. Sorry, I should have posted the announcement sooner. It didn't dawn on me to post it until last night. The live show seemed to go well although I will know better when i actually watch the tape later! They will be playing short clips from it throughout the day and then we do a 25 minute demo later at 3:30pm but I don't know if any of that will be televised.

Excellent to have a martial art getting such coverage :tup:. Congratulations, good sir.

Fingers crossed that you like what you see when you watch the video - I know I'm always appalled whenever I either hear my guitar-work played back to me or see myself performing kata on tape :o.

Thank you. I ended up being very pleased. The whole event was very professional, well advertised, and everyone was friendly. One of our best demos ever. Maybe the best.
I will try and get it on youtube within the week.

We also did a 25 minute demo later in the day that was much more comprehensive but I don't think any of that got televised.
