Dear MT posters,
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy everyone and this site! MT ROCKS!
Except for Matt Morton and zDom, Iceman and of course, my students, I haven't "met" in person any of you regulars and I will call you contributors because each of you contribute- to make this a "classy" forum. We always don't aggree on topics, and have differing opinions. I beleive each of you, speak from your heart- and you can't go wrong with that! I TRULY enjoy the discussion and taking in every post- as we can, I think, learn from each other.
I have had a lot of fun with a few threads and some of you really have a great sense of humor that shows through you posts (you know who you are)
One day I hope I can celebrate my 10,000 post like some of you "old timers" or should I say, Long time posters. And I hope, for the most part they are as insightful, articulant and as thoughtful as most of the ones each of you contribute.
The average person (non-MA'ist) doesn't understand our passion for this thing we do. I contend there is more that unites us as martial artists rather than divides us- all opinions placed aside- it is our passion for martial arts! May you all, live long and prosper.

We are most happy to have you here and await the day you do reach that 10000 mark.
As for me the old timer seems appropriate.
Yes, we do have a great bunch of posters here most of whom are intelligent and post useful information, while some are new to the arts and ask questions that make the rest of us sit back and think

All I can add is Martial Talk is a place to learn laygh and have a great time, this is why I pesonaly stay here. I know Bob Hubbard is a wonderful person for keeping this site going and the people who donate there time to make sure the place runs smooth on a day to day basis are the best in the world. KJ I will be looking for that 10,000 post.

First thought... "Brown-noser!" ...
Second thought... Thank you very much for your appreciation. We *ahem* old timers (you gotta watch that there fella) always look forward to newbies to help bring fresh insights and perspectives to our *ahem* old views. You (as well as other newbies) help us keep this site fresh and new... so you're just as welcomed and appreciated as we *ahem* old timers are.
Third thoughts... 10,000 posts is a definite milestone (of which I'm approaching myself here) and it shows loyalty I think and basically the feeling that you fit in.
Sense of humor is definitely a must in a forum of such diverse minds and opinions as we got here. That and respecting boundaries while occasionally toe-ing the line now and again...
Like the others I look forward to your contributions and the day you reach 10K
yeah... ALL HAIL BOB H!

(apologies to Family Guy writers for paraphrasing their material :))

I fall more in line with "old timers" then I do with "Long time posters",
but I feel your words are very meaningful and sincere.

MartialTalk is a unique site among MA discussion boards, for sure. The quality of the conversation here is unparalleled. And the overwhelming majority of members display good will in their exchanges, even when disagreement gets intense.
Site policy and staff oversight contribute to this positive state of things, without question—but it's really the intelligence and maturity of the membership which has made the place so congenial to good MA talk—and long may it continue to be that way.

Kwanjang,
You can click on the User CP (* Control Panel *).
Once there on the left hand side or menu you will see Social Groups, this is something you might find of interest.
Also there is a selection for Group Memberships. Select the ones you would like to join. MT Fan would be appropriate here. Note: Such as MT Leo or Womans group there might be more requirements then just being a member here.
You can also click on Paid Subscriptions and becoming s supporint member as well.
Good Luck and Good Posting.
