Coming on November 16, 2008, The Miami Arnis Group will be hosting our annual knife workshop from 12 P.M.- 4 P.M. With the enormous success of this years Mano Mano and Surviving Armed Street Assaults work shops, we've decided to continue with the street practical theme. This years workshop will feature the following skills:
Drawing your knife under duress
Transitioning from empty hand skill to knife
Countering your opponents weapon draw
Defending against chokes & ground fighting
Angles of attack and zones of defense
Elements from Bram Franks modular system
Creating your defensive bubble
Multiple opponent considerations
Dealing with armed opponents
Weapon retention
Scenario training
Empty hand counter stick and knife strategies
Equipment needed:
1 rigid training knife, 1 rubber training knife, 1 folding training knife(a limited amount of loaners will be available), 1 stick
Location:
Miami Beach Martial Arts located at 923 41st Street on Miami Beach, Fl 33140 .
Cost:
The cost will be $50.
