Last night, Oct.2nd Our school held a formal black belt graduation ceremony for 7 students. Four promoted to 1st dan and three to 2nd.
This was the our 10th annual BB Graduation. We were blessed with over 100 people in attendance. It was a memorable night for everyone in attendance. Graduating to 1st Dan; Noah Umbeck, Alex Griffith, John Abate. Graduating to 2nd Dan; Caroline Jackson, Serri Jackson and Sergio Ramos. Congratulatios from me to all the graduates.

For those of you who don't know, I am John from the list above. The ceremony was very, very moving. I have to admit that my eyes misted a little while we were reciting the blackbelt oath! :wah:

It was unbelievable to finally have that blackbelt around my waist and to wear the trimmed dobok. :supcool:

If I am not mistaken, I believe you also had one student get his world certified 1st degree black belt, seems like everybody keeps forgetting :(

My student Josh Holmes is now Internationally certified through Kukkiwon and WCDK

hmmm, sounds like a pretty cool guy, i bet he's tough!!!!! no, but seriously, it was the best graduation I have ever seen. Truly well done!

Sorry I couldn't be there (but hapkido is a cruel mistress who doesn't take kindly to being ingored on "her" night ;))

pictures look great mimir! I just wish someone wouldve gotten a shot of me doing my brick breaking, all you see is in one picture the broke blocks.
