Any LEO's here ever tested HR218? Since its been passed there seems to be little in the way of how its working out?

These officers are facing some interesting charges related to a shooting at this years Sturgis (http://www.policelink.com/news/52744-4-cops-charged-with-carrying-hr218-to-be-tested)rally. Perhaps not the best situation (as part of a LE bikers club facing off with some Hells Angels at a rally), but I dont know if this new reg. has faced any judicial challenge as of yet.

Ever been stopped out of your home state carrying? How did it go?

It's going to be interesting to see how that shakes out. They've already dropped several of the charges -- but not the concealed weapon charges.

My understanding of HR218 is that it's not a blanket "carry anywhere, anytime" law. It won't cover you on private property posted "no guns" or federal property, for example. At best, I think it conveys the same off duty concealed carry rights on you that cops have IN THAT STATE.
