FCS-Kali of the Southeastern US is proud to announce that Mr. Michael Kennedy is now the Greater Richmond, Va Representative for FCS-Kali! Mr. Kennedy was appointed to this position by Tuhon Ray Dionaldo upon the recommendation of Guro Harold Evans at the FCS-Kali Gathering in Tampa Fl on August 30th, 2008.
About Mr. Kennedy:
Michael Kennedy was born and raised in Tampa, FL. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Army. Michael served 22 years in the army and was selected to the highest enlisted pay grade, E-9. He retired in Richmond, VA after serving as the Senior Military Instructor at the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Michael earned a Masters of Arts Degree from Webster University in 2006.
Prior to serving in the military he started his martial arts training at age 12. While serving in the military he studied Shito –Ryu, Shotokan, Hapkido, and Tang Soo Do. Currently Master Kennedy holds a 5th Dan in American Hapkido Huek Kwan and serves as the East Coast Vice Chair. Master Kennedy also holds a 4th Dan in Tang Soo Do. He is also a personal student in FCS-Kali under Guro Harold Evans and serves as the Greater Richmond, Va Representative for FCS-Kali.
He is the President and founder of Kennedy’s Institute of Martial Arts (KIMA) located in Chester, VA. Martial Arts instruction includes Hapkido, Tang Soo Do, Cardio Kickboxing, Jiu – Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and FCS Kali.

FCS-Kali of the Southeastern US:
Appointed by Tuhon Ray Dionaldo, Guro Harold Evans is the Southeastern US Director and the NC State Representative of FCS-Kali, whose main task is to assist in the growth and development of FCS-Kali in the Southeastern US.
Mr. Evans is certified to teach FCS-Kali, Modern Arnis, Pacific Archipelago Combatives (PAC), Filipino Combatives, and Sil-Lum Kung-fu.
Mr. Evans, a personal student of Tuhon Ray Dionaldo, holds the FCS rank of Guro. He also holds the rank of Lakan Tatlo (3rd Dan) in Filipino Combatives and Mano Y Mano from Master Lyndon Johnson as well as,
Lakan Dalawa (2nd Dan) in Guro W. Hock Hochheim's Pacific Archipelago Combatives (PAC) and Filipino Combatives (Master Lyndon Johnson).
Mr. Evans is certified to teach FCS-Kali, Modern Arnis, Pacific Archipelago Combatives (PAC), Filipino Combatives, and Sil-Lum Kung-fu.
Guro Evans also holds black belts in Grand Master Rick Ward’s Sunburst Natural Fist System Sil-Lum Kung-fu and Grand Master Remy A. Presas’ Modern Arnis (IMAF, Inc) under Guro/Sifu David Ng.
