Free trial class- print this out and bring it with you.
7:30-8:30 - Monday through Friday. Friday is a special No-Gi Class
Show up at 7-7:15 to get checked in.
This is a great way to learn BJJ in a safe and controlled environment. We are a bunch of enthusiasts that love the sport and want to learn the theory and techniques. If you want to hurt people- this is not the place for you.
We are primarily male and female professionals in our 20's and 30's that love BJJ and want to make it to our next class without injury.
If you want to train hard, learn real techniques, and meet good people that share your passion - we will see you one night this week.
212-772-3700 for questions- (weekdays)
I am a student and i am posting this because i want to find additional people to train with. If you dont believe me- ask for Dano when you showup. i am generally there every night.
If you have ever thought about learning BJJ- give it a try. You will never look back. Be prepared to work- you will only get as good as the effort you put in.
Before class- cut your nails- on both hands and feet, put several wraps of athletic tape over any open cuts or wounds that you have, bring a bottle of water/gatorade, athletic supporter (jockstrap), sweats, and a rash guard (if you have one)- otherwise a t-shirt you dont mind stretching out.
(The above assumes you practice good personal hygiene- if not- make sure you learn before you show up)
------------------------------------------
(you can also learn MMA (mixed martial arts) during the premiere adult class- M-Th 12:15-1PM, M-F 6:30-7:15PM,Sat 12:30-1:15PM or Sun 12-12:45PM)
The MMA class is a mix between tae kwon do, muay thai, and boxing with limited groundwork.
The BJJ class is non-striking only. The best explanation for BJJ would be wrestling with submissions- ie chokes, jointlocks, etc.
