I've completed a brief article on Minimum Accessories for Individual Preparedness (http://www.philelmore.com/martial/prepared.htm). It complements an earlier piece contributed by Morgan Atwood on The Urban Encounter Survival Kit (http://www.philelmore.com/martial/evade.htm).

Good article, one question though: What is a Victorinox SwissCard?

Antares33, if you look at the picture on the page, a Victorinox SwissCard is the black plastic thing under the matches. It's made to be about the size of a credit card (but thicker). Very convenient.

Think of the SwissCard as a flat Swiss Army Knife (http://the-luggage-shop.com/victorinox-swisscard.html). It has a knife, scissors, tweezers, pen, and small screwdriver.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. Again, I enjoyed the article, and while most of the info was plain common sense. I've been inspired to make a few additions to the first aid kit I keep with me in my car.
