My first forum, is this a chat room? Guess I'm a dinosaur. I'm a Judoka, started in 1967. Never saw a need to change. I still teach but on a small scale, no longer competition oriented. Fortunately Judo encompasses a lot that people don't ordinarily see. I look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to talk. jarl

Welcome, and happy posting! :wavey:

To answer your question, this is more of a bulletin board than a chat room; chat rooms are "live", like instant messaging. Bulletin boards are places were people post messages and others respond to them - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. I hope that helps!

Welcome Jarl. I second Kacey's description of what a forum like MT is like as a conversational experience and also second kidswarrior's positive comment on the depth of your experience.

Altho' the closest I get to Judo (after a few weeks of lessons many moons ago) is my Iaido sensei who has his 1st Dan in it, I look forward to hearing your insights.
