From 4:06 to 4:14 is similar to the western style...That's the sort of work we did in Mangalore, low to the ground with a lot of that "staff over the head/whip around the body" movement.

Gaahh...Now I want curry!!!

I also worked very, very similar movements when training in Kalaripayattu in kottayam!
