Pardon my ignorance. But what is the symbolism of the arrows around the JKD symbol? Is that to imply motion of the Yin/Yang "fish" or back and forth, circular...what?

yeah I tihnkn it is to emphasize constant change.

That is the translation that Paul Vunack puts forth. The Arrows are for a state of motion or change. The symbol and the art are not static.
