I have had great success as of late......Since beginning my Yudo class a few months ago it has grown from 1 to 15 respectively. I have also been promoted to 2nd dan.

My first class I taught with a group of 5 I walked out with a white belt on and stood in front of the class and told them "We are all the same, I have just learned more than you for now."

I have worked very hard to translate the 5 tennants of TKD and budo to my students. We have a tournament coming up next Saturday, so my students will be in the Pre Hapkido form competition as well as their tae kwon do competition events.

I am so proud of my students, they work so hard in class. I have learned from a wise man who is my grandmaster the following...."You have been a teacher or asst. teacher with me for 2 yrs. now.....Now that you are in charge of a class and have pride in your students accomplishments and could care less about you own, well then.....welcome to being an instructor."

Thank you all who have replied. I wholeheartedly believe that with honesty with conviction thats all that is needed. By the way, thank you Kacey, Terry, and Company who have supported me..........last year was a tough year......however, I have passed my purple belt test in Hapkido and instructing is so much fun. I learn and enjoy watching these guys have their "lightbulbs" go off in their head when they figure out something new.

Just think, last January I had knee reconstructive surgery, diagnosed with a higher degree of P.T.S.D. and Traumatic Brain Injury than I had thought I had. But through positive training and a great wife and core of friends I have learned to get from Breakfast to lunch, lunch to dinner, and dinner to bed without much trouble.

Plus a lot of you guys have been so supportive and I warmly thank you for that as well.

Cheers,:asian:
