hi i am new to this forum. i am have have been on a couple other martial arts forums but left them for various reasons, so i have decided to test the water here. i thought i should get back on to martial arts forums becasue i am a real big martial arts geek and apparently telling random people various cool things about martial arts just because i want to talk about it, is considered a little odd :idunno:
currently i am training in muay thai but also know a lot of hapkido and taekwondo. i am also teaching martial arts through a local leisure centre.
nice to meet you!
If talking about martial arts makes you odd, then you will be in great company here...It says you teach MA..What do you teach??

right now i am teaching a fitness class using martial arts. it is meant for people that are in martial arts to learn fitness exercises that are designed for martial arts..... of course there are mostly beginners in my class so it basic martial arts is taught to serve as an introduction to get them inspired to join martial arts.... i have found that the program is working well because 1) MA is fun, 2) the type of conditioning that MAist need are very benefical to everyone (example: cardio, large range of motion, quick reaction time, strength etc.) 3) it does not focus on bulking up, just getting stronger.... because ideally a MAist wants to be as muscular and strong as possible without getting big and going up a weight class unnecessarily.
i am also in the process of starting up a self defense class.

I think being slightly odd is essential in a martial artist.

Hey, I'm perfectly normal, just don't ask my wife, or anybody else who might happen to know me.

I don't care if I am an oddball. I have given up on that. There is not enough time in the day for those concerns. There is practice to be done!
Welcome to this forum.
