Hardwoods?

I don't think I necessarily disagree with that sentiment...I'm just not likely to whip out my credit card to buy hardwoods from someone just because they pressure me on IM to do so. ;)
But what about you all? Do you keep hardwoods in your stick collection? How important do you think they are (compared to rattan)?
