Because I know that many of us are into long range planning, I wanted to let everyone here at MT know that on October 11 2008 Father Greek and myself will once again host Grandmasted John Pellegrini, the founder of the International Combat Hapkido Federation..The seminar will be held in Independence Ohio...More infomation will be posted as it becomes available..

Might I add that the August Eighth 2008 (08/08/08) International Midwest Combat Hapkido and Independant Tae Kwon Do Training Seminar and Banquet (1st annual) will be held in the Chicago land area Hosted by Masters Moore, Deveau, Harrison, and Gridley. More to come on this event. The banquet will also be a birthday celebration, more to come.

I'm gonna have to work A LOT of extra shifts to afford all the travel for 2008..Denver in April, The Meet and Greet in July and your event in August..

Yea Brian a year out should be no problem so I will differently be there.
There is an EXCELLENT steakhouse up here that has NO PROBLEMS with seperate checks....They busted their butts getting the room set fo 20 and only 13 showed up..

Outstanding, Terry! I'm definitely going to be there too. The last one was such a kick! (A safe, low one, delivered to the back of pinned attacker's knee as a takedown enforcer... :lol:)

Of course!!!The seminar is open to EVERYONE...Despite the many grumblings about Combat Hapkido training with Grandmaster Pellegrini is a totally enjoyable experience..The cost for the seminar is not yet known, we still have 1 year and 2 months to hash that out...
OK everyone, mark your calendars...Our seminar is 9 months away...Will update as the details become known..This seminar is open to EVERYONE regardless of experience of skill level..All we ask is that you leave your egos and attitudes at the door...

Well with the help of a LEO friend we have secured 2 rooms for this years seminar..It will be at the Independence Community Center, in Independence Ohio again and this time the floors are carpeted..We will have a lot more room too..Bring your friends...

It will be the Holiday Inn on Rockside Road in Independence..I will have a room rate up within a few days.There are other hotels in the area..A Red Roof Inn, Marriott, Hilton, etc.etc..If you want to can do a check on your own...

Ok...We had a number of attendees stay at the Holiday Inn last year, we will get a good rate...The webpage was done by one of Father Greeks students...

Hi. Its nice to remember a password after not being here for a few months. I seen this post on MAP.(Dr. Syn) And replied there. Currently waiting for registration form.
This thread is a lot more lively. I am planning on sending my son to this Seminar. He's a Black Belt under Kajukenbo Karate. One of your earlier posts mentioned "bring friends." Will there be a fee for the "friends?" Can they sit in on the Seminar? I was planning on sitting in the car reading/sleeping.
Also, this will be my sons first Off Dojo Seminar. Excuse the dumb question but does he bring his uniform with him (or sweats) and any weapons?

Dr Syn is a close personal friend..If you need registration forms contact Master Fine and he will send you one..Frineds have to pay too...Uniforms are NOT required, sweats and a t-shirt will suffice and no weapons are needed...If you want to just watch ask Master Steve, I don't think he's have a problem with that...Yes ,this is a lively place...

LOL! I was still trying to figure out the joke. What the hell does BYRT mean?!?!?!?!?
By the way, I would have phrased it Bravo Yankee Romeo November.
When talking people through computer system issues one of my co-workers would come up with the most ridiculous words for his phoenetic alphabet. "Now type CMD, that's Chicago Mandolin, Dirigible and hit enter. . ." I would laugh everytime I heard him walking someone through some instructions.

When talking people through computer system issues one of my co-workers would come up with the most ridiculous words for his phoenetic alphabet. "Now type CMD, that's Chicago Mandolin, Dirigible and hit enter. . ." I would laugh everytime I heard him walking someone through some instructions.
I would have too, but the older phoenetic alphabets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenetic_alphabet) use Baker, Able, Dog....a whole list of other words. My mom's are the funniest. She just uses whatever the first word that pops into her head is.

We have some officers like that..The FUNNIEST one I ever heard was one of these jerks attempted to phoenetic spell the last name TATUM..He said Thomas Adam Thomas Umbrella Man...I laughed so hard I almost smashed the crusier....But we are getting off topic here..
