Anyone practice the art of Kyujitsu?
Do the practictioners still draw/pull the bow back 1000 times each day befor putting an arrow to it?

Would Uchi-ne be considered a seperate art?

I don't recognize this term, and I don't find it in Hoff's book. What is it?

To answer your question, YES. I spoke with someone in the Indianapolis, Indiana area that teaches Kyudo. He pulls the bow 80-100 times twice a day. He also "pretends" to pull the bow every chance he gets. I asked him how many arrows he shoots in a typical day.....his reply was 3 or 4.

I saw two of the four arrows once.....bulleye twice in a row.
