no meditation. never have. all the schools i have been associated with are very americanized. i think meditation goes a little too close to the eastern religion for me.

Aside from that, meditation's been a stable in various Jewish and Christian religous sects for centuries. No branch of mysticism holds exclusivity on the practice, and it's not expecially religious in the context of most MA schools.

Has more to do with getting you to relax.
