Optometrist visits.

Once again I found myself at the optometrist's office this afternoon, getting my glasses adjusted, explaining that this time they hadn't been kicked off my face but rather were knocked off by a stick...I didn't add that it was my own stick just a little too close to my face as I disarmed my partner.

They were very nice to me once again. Of course, the optometrist lives across the street from me, which may help.

I tried that with my ex-girlfriend. All it seemed to do was let her have the first punch all the time. Then I wised up. You'd be surprised how far, "Your honour, I thought she was going to hit me first," will get you.
