Hi all,
I recently moved to the San Francisco/Bay area and am looking
for a traditional school teaching Tien Shan Pai or Mizong. If anyone
has any information for me it would be much appreciated. I am willing
to travel up to an hour to reach good instruction. Thanks!

Hello, Sorry I can't help you with a school in your area but I wanted to welcome you to Martial Talk. Good luck with your search. :)

I kind of doubt you're going to find Tien Shen Pai on the west coast. It's pretty much concentrated on the other side of the country. Our school does include some in the BB ranks because of our relationship with GM Huang, Chen Liang.

Yep I figured as much. I did see one instructor way up north but it
was a little far.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is someone teaching Mizong around here. I don't know of anyone, but I bet it's around. Wander around thru Golden Gate Park on any Saturday or Sunday morning. Start in the Panhandle and work your way to the end. There are many different groups that meet in the park and train, and you could ask around. Many of these groups are not found in the phonebook, and don't have a website.
